can i get a game or something from the 250gb, put it into a folder on my desktop or in a folder & be able to play it. ANY IDEAS? is there a way i can transfer the file from the 2.1gb to the 250gb & get it working again? if im stuck with it, would i be able to play games, download stuff etc. the thing is i want to use the 2.1gb as back up & the 250gb as my main one, but its the other way around, & the 250gb wont boot.

i tried it in safe mode & got a blue screen that said: DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL i ended up just putting windows xp on the 2.1gb hdd & it now recognizes both hard drives, after all day trying.

the file is c:\progra~1\norton~1\savrt.vxd i took the 2.1gb out the pc & tried to boot normally using the 250gb, but it just wouldnt boot. if you still want to use the application associated with this device, try reinstalling that application to replace the missing file. the windows registry or system.ini file refers to this device. i then got a blue screen that said: cannot find device file. it wouldnt boot at all, it tried to boot windows98(it was on the 2.1gb hdd) even though i wanted to login with my normal 250gb sata & then format the 2.1 & use as back up for my installers or something. i then turned the pc off & fitted up a 2.1gb ata hard drive i got from an old pc.
I installed thhe card this morning & downloaded the catalyst drivers.
